Hi there!
I’m Hannah, an artist working from my cottage studio just outside Beccles, Suffolk, creating colourful fine art and bespoke pet portrait commissions.
I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember, from messy childhood craft sessions to studying Fine Art at Norwich University of the Arts. My practice has always revolved around curiosity and a love of experimenting with colour, texture and materials.
In 2023, I launched Hakabo Design (now Hakabo Studio), selling illustrated prints, painted upcycled furniture and ceramics, and taking on custom fine art and pet portrait commissions.

Inspiration
My work is inspired by interiors, pattern, the East Anglian landscape and my travels, blending surroundings with a whimsical twist and unexpected colour palettes. Everyday spaces, decorative details, and the countryside often find their way into my compositions, reimagined through playful mark-making.
I work across mixed media, combining gouache, acrylic, oil and chalk pastels with pencil to build layers of texture and colour. I enjoy experimenting with materials, allowing pieces to develop organically and embracing imperfections along the way.
